মহান আল্লাহ্‌ তায়ালার নিকট অশেষ শোকরিয়া যে, আমি আজও আমার সেই অঙ্গীকার ঠিক রাখতে পেরেছি। প্রাইভেট না পড়ালে একজন কলেজ শিক্ষকের নিকট যে অফুরন্ত সময় থাকে সেই সময়টাতে শিক্ষার্থীরা কেন ইংরেজিতে এত কাচা ইংরেজিতে কেন তাদের কাছে এতটা দুর্বোধ্য এবং কোন পদ্ধতিতে পড়ালে তারা অতি সহজে ইংরেজি শিখতে পারবে
এই ৩টি বিষয়কে নিয়ে ১৯৮৬ সাল থেকে আমি গবেষণা আরম্ভ করি।

 

গবেষণার শুরুতেই যে দিকগুলোর উপর বিশেষভাবে দৃষ্টি দেই তা হলো-
১) ইংরেজি হলো একটি ভাষা । তাই ইংরেজি শিখতে হবে ভাষা শেখার মতো করে।
একটি ভাষার ন্যায় আমাদের ইংরেজি শিখতে হবে। ইতিহাস, ভূগোল, গণিত বা সাহিত্যের মতো নয়
অর্থাৎ ইংরেজি বলতে, শুনতে, বুঝতে, পড়তে-এর লিখতে সক্ষম হতে হবে।
২) ইংরেজি না জানলে আমাদের অবস্থান কোথায়?

আমি বিশ্বাস করি- জাতি, ধর্ম, বর্ণ ও রাজনৈতিক মতাদর্শের উধধর্ব উঠে পৃথিবীর সকল মানুষকে ভাষ
ব্যবহার করার যোগ্যতার উপর ভিত্তি করে মাত্র ৩টি দলে ভাগ করা যায়। যেমন-

  • ১। প্রথম দল:- যারা লিখতে, পড়তে, বলতে এবং বুঝতে পারেন অর্থাৎ শিক্ষিত মানুষের দল।
  • ২। দ্বিতীয় দল:- যারা লিখতেও পারে না, পড়তেও পারে না অর্থাৎ অশিক্ষিত মানুষের দল।
  • ৩। তৃতীয় দল:- যারা কোনোদিনও কথাই বলতে পারে না অর্থাৎ বোবা মানুষের দল।

মহান আল্লাহ্পাকের দরবারে অশেষ শুকরিয়া এই কারণে যে তিনি আমাদেরকে সভ্যতার চরম উৎকর্ষতার যুগে
অর্থাৎ একবিংশ শতাব্দীতে দুনিয়ায় পাঠিয়েছেন। এই যুগ সন্বন্ধে বলতে গিয়ে আমরা বলে থাকি, এটা বিজ্ঞানের
যুগ, এটা প্রযুক্তির যুগ । এই যুগে সমগ্র পৃথিবীটাকে মনে করা হয় “একটি ছোই গ্রাম। এই আসুন তাহলে এইটি বিশ্লেষণ করা যাক।
সারা পৃথিবীর কথা বাদ দিয়ে আমরা যদি কোনো একটি দেশের যে কোনো একটি গ্রামের কথা বিবেচনা করি
